Why do I need to rate and review my samples?

Here at Sample Room, we place great importance in making sure that our members feel valued and heard. Through rating and reviewing, you are given the chance to share your feedback to the rest of the Sample Room community. Our primary goal is to encourage our members to make informed purchases through our website. As an added bonus, you will earn points every time you rate and review samples so you can avail more.

How do I earn points?

a. You can earn more points by rating and reviewing the samples that you have received. Click here to read more about Sample Room’s point system.
b. You have the option to become a VIP Member in order to buy more points for samples that have higher points. Click here to learn more about our VIP membership.
c. Through joining Sample Room’s promotions, you could have a chance to win additional points. Make sure to follow us on our social media pages so you don’t miss out on anything.
Please take note that you are highly encouraged to rate and review the samples you have availed so that you can get more samples. You are also helping others decide on what product is right for them through your ratings and reviews.

What if the sample does not work for me?

It is possible that some products may not suit all skin types. There could be many other reasons why some products won’t suit you at all. But that’s what Sample Room is here for—to help you find your perfect match. Luckily, all of our samples are free so you don’t have to risk buying a full sized product that might not suit you.

How long will I be able to use the sample I acquired?

Sample Room always makes sure that you will receive at least a 5-day supply of each product you will avail. This is so that you can make an informed review and opinion about it. Note: We require at least a 5-day trial period before writing a product review on our website.

Why can’t I get more than 1 sample of the same product?

Here at Sample Room, we want to provide opportunities for everyone to try a certain product. By limiting each member to 1 sample of the same product, more people can have a chance to try them and write their own reviews. This in turn strengthens our goal for you to make informed purchases.

I like my sample very much. Can I buy a full-sized product from you?

We currently do not sell full-sized products on our website. We do, however, include the full details of where you can purchase a certain product in our blog posts.

How long will the samples stay “reserved” in my Account after I check them out (before paying for them)?

All of our samples are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, thus our system can only hold your orders up to 24 hours after check out. Your confirmation of payment is the only assurance that you have secured your samples. If you think that you cannot pay and send your deposit slip within 24 hours, you may enter another payment method.

I successfully checked out and had a transaction order, can I add another sample in the same transaction order?

Unfortunately, you cannot add another sample in the same transaction order once an order # has been generated. If you want to add another sample in the same transaction order, you must wait for our operations team to manually cancel your old order so you can make a new one. Please make sure to always check your orders before confirming them.

Is there a possibility that my account (or name) will be banned from the website?

Sample Room has the right to ban any account with false pretense such as users with multiple accounts, households with more than two (2) accounts, and false identities. We have the right to not notify the account holder as this rule was already included and agreed upon in our terms and conditions.

DELIVERY

How many days will it take for the product samples to reach me?

It would normally take around 3-4 working days for you to receive your product samples if your address is in Metro Manila, while it would take 4-7 working days if your address is outside of Metro Manila.
We do our best to ship out parcels from Monday to Friday. Our cut-off time is only until 3:00PM daily.

What is the maximum number of samples I can check out per transaction?

You can checkout a maximum of 3 product samples per transaction if your points will allow. A 4th product will already be considered as a new transaction.

What are your shipping & handling rates for Metro Manila and outside of Metro Manila?

Shipping fees vary depending on the total weight of the parcel and the location of the recipient. Click here to read more about our shipping & handling rates.

Can you ship outside the Philippines (internationally)?

We do not ship outside of the Philippines, as we want to create a local online community where all of its members are based in the same geographic. This creates more authentic and relatable reviews as it only caters to a Philippine demographic.

Why do you charge for shipping & handling fees? I thought everything was free?

Only the product samples on our website are for free. As much as we want to make everything free, our shipping & handling fee is the combined cost of our warehousing, internal logistics, in-house materials, operations, shipping & handling costs.

How can I track my order and payment?

Payment and order status can be checked by logging into your Account, under ‘Order Status.’ Once payment is confirmed, a tracking number will be provided to you (under Order Status and email) after the receipt from Blitz, LiteXpress, Air Speed, or LBC.

The product didn’t reach me after 10 working days from the day it was shipped. Who should I contact?

You may send a detailed inquiry to our customer service team at [email protected]. Please include your name, Sample Room Account email address, and order number so we can assist you accordingly.

What are your delivery/shipping methods?

Currently, all of our parcels are shipped through Blitz, LiteXpress, Air Speed, and LBC.

Why does my account say that my order has been completed even if I have not received my samples yet?

Your order will be reflected as ‘Complete’ on your Sample Room account after our warehouse successfully ships out your parcel. Kindly anticipate delivery within the next few days.

PAYMENT

What are the payment methods available?

Currently, our payment methods include Paypal, GCash, Paymaya, local bank deposits via over-the-counter payments, and online banking (BDO and BPI). You may choose whichever is most convenient for you. Click here for our complete payment methods.

Why am I charged in US Dollars in Paypal?

Through Sample Room’s partnership with Paypal, your transactions will always be converted into US Dollars. Rest assured that you can make secure, convenient, and reliable payments with your credit card through Paypal.
The amount quoted in PHP (Philippine Peso) is our best estimate of what will actually be charged on your credit card bill based on prevailing exchange rates.

For over-the-counter local bank payment, how do I send a copy of my bank deposit slip?

You may send a detailed email with a clear scanned copy or photo of your bank deposit slip (client’s copy) to [email protected] within 24 hours.

Can I pay via Paypal even without a Paypal account?

Yes, you can still pay using Paypal. Though, we recommend that you have a Paypal account to benefit from all its features. If you do not have a Paypal account, all you need is a debit card/credit card from any bank that is supported by Paypal.

How will I know if my payment has already been received and verified?

Our customer service team requires at least 2 working days to process and verify your payment. Once you have sent us your proof of payment via email, you can check your payment status in your Account under Order Status.
If your status says PENDING DELIVERY, it means that your payment has already been confirmed and verified.

Why do I need to immediately pay after I check out?

Our system can only hold your orders for up to 24 hours after you check out your samples as they are on a first-come-first-serve basis. We highly recommend that you make your payment immediately after checking out your items.

Can I cancel a transaction that I have already paid for?

No, because once your payment for the shipping & handling fee has been made, all transactions are considered final.

Can I make advance payments for my future orders?

No, because as much as we want to make things easier for our members, paying in advance may create room for errors which we try to avoid.

Can I combine 2 transaction orders into 1 shipping & handling fee?

Unfortunately, we do not allow this as 1 transaction order strictly equates to 1 shipping & handling fee.

I paid after the 24-hour lead time without informing Sample Room about my late payment and my order has expired. What will happen to my order and payment?

After the 24-hour lead time has passed, your order will be considered as cancelled and the samples may be allocated to someone else. Note that Sample Room has the right to not refund your payment, yet it may still be acknowledged on your next order. Kindly email our customer service at [email protected] for assistance.

I made an over the counter bank payment and lost my deposit slip receipt, what will happen to my order?

Unfortunately, we can only process orders for over the counter bank payments if they have a scanned deposit slip receipt. This is to make sure that we avoid malicious users and avoid errors.

I want to sign up for the VIP membership, is there a deadline for my payment?

Kindly pay for the amount charged and email us your proof of payment within 24 hours so you can start enjoying your VIP membership.

How long do I have to wait until my 1000 points will be reflected on my Account?

Please give our team 2-3 business days to verify and process your additional points.

Now that I’m a VIP member, does this mean I don’t need to pay for shipping and handling fees?

You would still need to pay for shipping & handling fees when availing any product from Sample Room. Though now you have more points to use to avail more samples.

I want to purchase more points. Why am I only able to purchase points once every 2 months?

Sample Room only allows its members to purchase points once every 2 months in order to maintain fairness by still making our members earn their points. We want to stick to our goal as a sampling website to create a community that makes informed purchases through your product reviews.

Why does my 1000 points expire after 2 months? I purchased them, so aren’t they supposed to be all mine?

We made sure that the 1000 points that you purchased from your VIP membership would allow you to avail a generous amount of product samples including premium items. We assure you that by the end of the second month, the value of the samples you have availed would exceed beyond the price you paid for your VIP membership.

Will the incentive points that I gained during my 2-month VIP membership expire too?

No, because only the original 1000 points you received will expire after 2 months.

Am I assured of stocks when I'm a Sample Room VIP member?

No, because Sample Room still works on a first-come-first-serve basis. Yet, we will always make sure to limit slots for VIP membership due to its exclusive benefits. VIP members are still entitled to availing premium brands from time to time using their “premium points.”

I'm very satisfied and happy with my Sample Room VIP membership, how do I renew my membership?

Once your 2-month VIP membership is over, we shall send you an email to notify you in case you would want to renew it.
